Banglar Manabadhikar Surakksha Mancha (MASUM) made 12 complaints before the relevant authorities and different human rights institutions; especially National Human Rights Commission during the month of March 2019, during the period 8 replies (we share our opinions and observations over the proceedings of NHRC) and 2 update (subsequent happenings after the original complaint) have been made to the National Human Rights Commission. Out of 12 one on attack on human rights defenders, five on illegal restrictions by Border Security Force personnel at Indo- Bangladesh bordering areas of West Bengal, two on overall marginalization of erstwhile enclaves, three on torture perpetrated by the Border Security Force personnel and one on police acquiescence. In complaints on situation of erstwhile enclaves and illegal restriction by BSF at Indo- Bangladesh border, the victimization was collective and does not reflect in demographic and social classification of victims. Total numbers of victims in individual complaints were 5; out of that 3 belong to Schedule Caste community while 2 belong to minority Muslim community. Among the victims 4 were males and 1 minor.
